RULES
Course Modifications: Raid Pulse reserves the right to modify the course during the event by adding or removing certain sections.
Participant eligibility: Raid Pulse reserves the right to prevent a participant from taking part in an event for medical reasons, missing equipment, or any other valid reason.
Checkpoints and validation: All checkpoints will have a unique punch to validate your passage. Teams must submit their passport to the race official at the finish line.
Cut-Off Times: A cut-off time will be set to reach a predetermined checkpoint before the start. For example: you must reach Checkpoint 7 (CP7) before 13:00. Teams that arrive after the cut-off time will no longer have access to certain checkpoints. These cut-off times will be indicated on the roadbooks but may be modified during the event.
Following roadbook instructions: You must respect and follow the instructions in the roadbook (safety, right of way, etc.). If it is written, you must do it. For example: if it is indicated that you must take a specific route, you have to do it. Non-compliance with instructions will result in a penalty that may lead to disqualification.
Time limit: Teams have a predetermined number of hours to complete the course or as many checkpoints as possible. Teams that have not crossed the finish line before the allotted time will receive a 10-point penalty per minute of delay.
Tie-breaking: If there is a tie in points, time will determine the final ranking.
Section order: It is mandatory to complete the checkpoints within their designated sections.
Race bibs: Teams must wear their race bibs at all times. The bib must be the final layer with the team number visible on the front (over all other clothing) to be visible at all times.
Team proximity: Members of the same team must remain together at all times (maximum distance of 10 meters). You must not separate under any circumstances.
Equipment: A surprise equipment check may take place during the raid. A 30-minute penalty per missing item per person will be applied if you are unable to present the item in question.
Prohibitions that may lead to penalties/disqualification:
Use of maps other than those provided by Raid Pulse
Use of the map functionalities on your mobile device or any other device that can aid in your orientation
Excessive distance between team members (more than 10 meters)
Changing a team member during the course (disqualification)
Premeditated external assistance (disqualification)
Failure to wear the race bib (15-minute penalty)
Environmental damage (disqualification)
Duty of assistance: If your team encounters another team in difficulty, you are required to stop and provide assistance. Failure to comply with this rule may lead to disqualification. A time credit may be awarded to the team that stopped and provided assistance.
Withdrawal: If you decide to withdraw during the event for any reason, you must notify a course official as soon as possible to prevent the team tracking managers from conducting unnecessary searches.
Emergency: If you are unable to reach a race official at the finish line or a transition area, you must contact us by phone or email. For any situation deemed serious or critical, you must call emergency services 911.
