REQUIRED AND RECOMMENDED gear
Mandatory gear is essential for participant safety and to ensure a fair race. Each participant must be self-sufficient and responsible for their equipment throughout the event. Except for the whistle, any team member may carry the required equipment.
This list applies to both the 3-hour and 8-hour races.
By default, the gear listed is required for one team, unless otherwise specified as 1x person.
MANDATORY GEAR
Mandatory at all times
A compass
Waterproof bag for your map (ziploc bag, map case, etc.)
A first aid kit* (see description)
A whistle (1x person, cannot be carried by teammate)
A windproof jacket (1x person)
A fully charged smartphone (for emergency)
A waterproof bag or case for your phone
Race bib (provided by Raid Pulse)
BIKE SECTION
Mountain bike* (1x person)
Bike helmet (1x person)
Flashing red taillight (1x person)
Allen key set
Tire levers
Pump
Spare inner tube
*We strongly recommend a mountain bike and not a gravel/cyclocross bike
PADDLING SECTION
Life jacket (1x person)
Oar or kayak paddle (1x person)
Canoe or kayak: participants can bring their own boat or rent one*
*Raid Pulse offers canoe and/or kayak rentals, including life jackets and paddles (note that standard oars are provided with the canoes)
*Quantities are limited and cannot be guaranteed; reservations can be made via the registration form
*First aid kit
Adhesive bandages (e.g., Band-Aid) x 5
Antiseptic swabs x 5
Sterile gauze pads (e.g., 10 cm x 10 cm) x 2
Roll of sterile gauze bandage
Sterile compression bandage
Roll of adhesive tape (medical adhesive tape, duct tape)
Triangular bandage (or triangular sling)

2 Bags for carrying your equipment (max 50L)
Example of what you would put in it: food, hydration, spare clothing and shoes
You will hand over your bags to the organization shortly before departure and we will transport them to the transition areas
