For the 2020 event, the Raid Pulse team is proud to invite you to the Duhamel area for a thrilling adventure race. It’s a wooded and hilly location with numerous beautiful lakes and MTB trails, ideal for an adventure race.

We’ve already been there for some scouting and let me tell you that it is quite a playground for outdoor and adventure lovers. We have already identified many mountain bike trails, superb lake locations, kilometers of forest and trails for the trekking and orienteering sections. Be assured that we will make you discover this area the Raid Pulse way so prepare yourself for an exciting adventure.

As usual, we want to offer a quality event in pristine nature including the three basic disciplines in adventure racing (trekking/bushwalking, paddling and mountain biking).

Teams must complete the course by reaching the various check points using the maps provided by Raid Pulse. During the regular course the navigation difficulty level will be accessible to all levels of experience (parts of the regular course will be marked). Of course, an experienced team should make fewer errors and complete the course more rapidly.

There will also be some advanced check points for teams that are looking for a bigger challenge with more technical navigation and added distance.

In order to comply with the distancing measures, we will use the ‘Maprun F’ app to validate the checkpoints, which will avoid touching the tag. This app uses your smartphone’s GPS system and no internet data will be needed during the event. We tested the app in the field, it works very well, and it is very simple to use. Follow this link to get all the information on how it works and try it. In case the app does not work (for any reason), there will be a code written on each of the CP’s that you can note on your passport or take a picture to validate your passage at the checkpoint.
