Presentation of the 2010 June 19th 2 to 4 hour Sprint AR

in Plaisance, Outaouais QC

The Sprint Adventure Racing is accessible to all levels of experience from beginner to expert. It is the ideal format to try adventure racing and to get a taste of this great sport.

Location: The Raid Pulse team is proud to invite you to the Plaisance area for a thrilling adventure race. It's a wooded and hilly location with numerous beautiful lakes and MTB trails, ideal for an adventure race.

Trekking  ~ 5 Km
Paddling ~ 5 Km
Mountain biking   ~ 15 Km

All through the race, teams must navigate with a map and compass to get to the various check points and complete the course. The level of difficulty is accessible to all. If you can find the North with your compass you will be ok!

There will also be an advanced run for teams that are looking for a bigger challenge. Generally, less than 10% of the teams will make it.

Canoes, life jackets and paddles are provided by Raid Pulse for teams of two. Solo racers must bring their own kayak, paddle and life jacket.

Paddle rental: Simon River Sports (SRS) , a company well know for high performance nautical products such as kayak paddles, For participants wishing to try out SRS products, a low cost rental program will be available with the possibility of applying rental cost to an eventual purchase if desired.

Camping: For teams that wish to arrive during the evening preceding the race, it is possible to camp at the headquarter for 5$ per person. Congratulations to all the teams for a great race! The weather was perfect and every team completed the course with success.

It would simply be impossible to organize such an event without the enthusiastic participation of numerous volunteers; a special thanks goes out to all of them for their contribution to making this race a great success.
